On Monday the 7th March room 5 and 6 went to Motu Moana. On the bus we were all ready for a fun filled day. We left on the bus at 9:00am In the morning. When we got there the parents got a briefing and we played a game. It was kind of like tag. You had to run on the cool, crisp green grass and of course, tag each other.
Our first activity was orienteering and on my team were Kelsi Watts and Jack Thomson. It was surprisingly fun even though Jack made us run the whole way. after that we had the team challenge. We had to work as a team with bungy ropes and some how pull each other across monkey bars without actually touching them.
Next was my favourite part it was also difficult........ The abseiling wall as we walked up the stairs I could look over the cool green grass and the blue ocean. Looking down and everyone looked like small little ants. Even the cars! I was so scared at the time but when I got up there I convinced myself to do it. The first time it was really cool and I did it slowly but the second time I did it really fast and with great speed.
Our final activity was the confidence course and we had to work as a team to complete it and get the magic potion to the end of the flying fox without spilling it!
I had such a fantastic day that day! It was so much fun being able for a whole day to run around and just enjoy the day with no time being jammed in a classroom. I only wish it could all happen again!
